CA3140AM
The CA3140A and CA3140 are monolithic integrated circuit operational amplifiers that combine the benefits of high voltage PMOS transistors alongside high voltage bipolar transistors.
The gate protected MOSFET (PMOS) transistors in the input circuit of the CA3140A and CA3140 BiMOS operational amplifiers provide very high input impedance, very low input current, and high speed performance. The CA3140A and CA3140 operate on a 4V to 36V supply voltage (either single or dual supply). These operational amplifiers are intrinsically phase corrected for steady - state operation in unity gain follower mode, and they also offer an access terminal for an external capacitor if further frequency roll-off is necessary. There are also terminals for usage in applications that need input offset voltage nulling.
The use of PMOS field effect transistors in the input stage results in a common mode input voltage capability of 0.5V below the negative supply terminal, which is critical for single supply applications. The output stage employs bipolar transistors and has built-in safety against damage caused by a load terminal short circuit to either the supply rail or ground.
The CA3140A and CA3140 are designed to operate at supply voltages as high as 36V (18V).
IC LM311N
LM111 series of voltage comparators have input currents that are about a 100 times lower than the A710. They're made to work with a larger range of supply voltages, ranging from normal 15 V op amp supplies to a single 3 V supply. RTL, DTL, and TTL circuits, as well as MOS circuits, can use their output. They can also power bulbs or relays with changing voltages up to 50 V and currents up to 50 mA. The LM111 series' inputs and outputs can both be separated from system ground, and the output can drive loads connected to ground, positive supply, or negative supply. There is offset equalization and strobe functionality, and wire-O Red outputs are available.
