X7R formulations are classified as "temperature stable" ceramics and are classified as EIA Class II materials. The most often used of these intermediary dielectric constant materials is X7R. Its capacitor temperature fluctuation is between 15% of -55?C to 125?C. This capacitance variation is non-linear.
The capacitance of the X7R fluctuates as a result of electrical working conditions such as voltage and frequency.
The use of an X7R dielectric chip covers a wide range of industrial applications where known variations in capacitance owing to applied voltages are allowed.
