Description

Description of TPIC6595N

TheTPIC6595N? ?is an 8-bit shift register that is monolithic, high-voltage, and high current power and was created for use in systems that need a lot of load power.

For protection against inductive transients, the device has a built-in voltage clamp on the outputs.

Relays, solenoids, and other medium-current or high-voltage loads are examples of power driver applications.

TPIC6595N is an 8-bit D-type storage register is fed via an 8-bit serial-in, parallel-out shift register in this device.

On the rising edge of the shift-register clock (SRCK) and the register clock (RCK), respectively, data passes through both the shift and store registers.

When shift register clear (SRCLR) is high, the storage register sends data to the output buffer. The input shift register is cleared when SRCLR is low.

All data in the output buffers is held low and all drain outputs are turned off when output enable (G) is maintained high.

Data from the storage register is invisible to the output buffers when G is kept low.

It’s a serial The shift register’s output (SER OUT) enables cascading of data to other devices.

DMOS transistors with low-side, open-drain outputs and a continuous sink current capacity of 250 mA are used for the outputs.

The DMOS-transistor outputs are off when there is little data in the output buffers. The DMOS-transistor outputs have the capacity to sink current when data is high.

For optimum system flexibility, separate power and logic level ground pins are included.

Each pin must be externally linked to the power system ground in order to reduce parasitic inductance.

Pins 1, 10, 11, and 20 are internally connected.

It is necessary to externally create a single-point connection between pin 19, logic ground (LGND), and pins 1, 10, 11, and 20, power grounds (PGND), while minimizing crosstalk between the logic and load circuits.

Working in the functioning case range of temperature of 40?C to 125?C is a feature of the TPIC6595DN
